A scaffolder from Norfolk has become an overnight multi-millionaire after landing a staggering £11.5 million jackpot from a £1.50 stake on an online slot game.

Arron Freeman, 44, who operates ASL Scaffolding, struck gold on June 5 while playing the Mega Moolah slot game on Betfred's platform.

The extraordinary payout represents the largest win in the bookmaker's 58-year history.

The life-changing sum came from a modest wager on the popular online slot, transforming the scaffolding business owner into one of Britain's biggest ever online gambling winners.

Despite his newfound wealth, Freeman, who is from Norfolk, remains focused on helping others.

"I am in shock, but I am not gonna say too much at the minute," he told Eastern Daily Press.

Freeman explained that proceeds from selling his story to the highest bidder would go towards building a homeless shelter.

Kelly Dighton, who is in a relationship with Freeman, has documented her recovery journey on social media.

The friend added that Freeman and his partner were planning to take a holiday while considering their options.

Betfred founder Fred Done personally rang the winner to extend his congratulations and offered him VIP treatment at a Manchester United match.
