Britain has been hit by a string of high-profile crimes in recent weeks.
Nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was shot on Monday evening in what Prime Minister Boris Johnson described as an "unimaginable tragedy" that has shocked the country.
Last week, 87-year-old pensioner Thomas O'Halloran was knifed to death while on his mobility scooter.
Little Lilia Valutyte, 9, was stabbed to death in Lincolnshire in July.

And a knife crime pandemic appears to be rampant across London.
Reflecting on the apparent crimewave, GB News' Nigel hit out at the "complete and utter lawlessness" on display.
He said: "It's absolutely terrifying and it's appalling.
"So it isn't just gun crime, it isn't just knife crime, it is outright lawlessness."
Nigel added: "What the hell has gone wrong with our policing?
"Most of us now, who are victims of crime, don't even bother to report it.
"So the figures on crime stats, in my view, are massively underestimated."
It comes after shocking footage emerged showing a gang of around 50 youths storming into a McDonald’s in Nottingham before jumping the counter and stealing food.
The incident took place on Sunday at around 9pm at the McDonald’s store in Clumber Street.
Nottinghamshire Police say around seven people jumped the counter before stealing food and drinks.
