An NHS hospital has sparked fury after it told staff not to describe babies as being "born male or female".
Instead, John Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth has said advised staff to say new born babies are "assigned female/male at birth" in an attempt to move towards "more inclusive" language.
Reform's Rupert Lowe, who is the constituency MP for the area, criticised the document, telling GB News: "There are two sexes at birth. Male and female - to suggest otherwise is wrong.
"Babies are not ‘assigned’ their sex, they just are that sex. It’s a fact."

The hospital has published a document called "Celebrating Pride", which provides support and guidance on creating a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
Its contents urge staff to stop using phrases such as "ladies and gentlemen" in exchange for more inclusive, non-binary terms, such as "everyone", "folks" or "honoured guests".
Lowe said this advice is "utterly ludicrous" and he will continue to call it out.
He said: "My constituents would prefer this inaccurate and confusing woke nonsense was left out of the hospital. What was the cost of this guidance? Who produced it? Where is the scientific evidence base?"
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"Medical professionals must respect biological fact, as I’m sure the vast majority do. But we must root this woke virus out of hospitals and other public sector institutions, urgently".
On its website, the James Paget Hospital has said "LGBTQ staff are an important part of the Paget family and have their own staff network".
The document has explained that the guide acts as a source of information for those keen to find out more about Pride's origins and history, as well as a guide to use "appropriate" language.
Over 1000 staff members wear multi-coloured lanyards to ensure that LGBT+ patients know that they have pledged to support them.
Reform MP Rupert Lowe said that the "woke virus" must be rooted out of hospitals and other institutions as a matter of urgency

The hospital document was reviewed after publication of the Cass review, which investigated NHS identity services as a result of increased concerns over gender ideology across public services.
The review highlighted children had been offered life-changing treatments with little scientific evidence to support such decisions.
Rupert Lowe said: "Public money should not be spent on the woke language police. Is the phrase 'Ladies and Gentlemen' now forbidden with the walls of the James Paget? Utterly ludicrous, and I will continue to call it out.
"The local hospital, council and other public institutions should ditch this woke nonsense and focus on providing timely public services for taxpayers."
