Northamptonshire Police have created educational materials instructing migrants on basic principles of treating women with respect

GB News presenters Emily Carver and Tom Harwood have expressed their astonishment at revelations that police are delivering PowerPoint presentations to asylum seekers on how to respect women.

The duo reacted with disbelief after learning that Northamptonshire Police had created educational materials instructing migrants on basic principles of treating women with respect.

Speaking about the story on GB News, Emily said: "I would question why on earth are authorities allowing people into this country who potentially need to be told not to harass women in the street? What do you think?"

Tom responded: "I'm stunned that you need a PowerPoint presentation given to you to learn not to harass women, to learn not to go after them, to learn to treat people with equal respect.

"That somehow now needs to be taught to people? I mean, doesn’t that say everything about the quality of people who are coming over in those small boats?"

Emily explained: "Some of the points in the presentation include: respect other people’s rights and freedoms; human rights; females have the same rights as men and must be treated with respect and courtesy.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

"If you harass or abuse any female, you can be arrested. Certain swear words can cause great insult, and violence of any kind is not acceptable."

Tom said: "Hang on. These people are coming across with mobile phones, posting TikTok videos from the boats and yet we’re all pretending they simply don’t understand that women have equal rights to men in this country.

"I’m starting to think maybe that’s not a comprehension issue maybe that’s an attitudinal issue."

The Northamptonshire Police presentation, titled "Safety Advice and Local Information", has been distributed to asylum seekers residing in two hotels within the area.

Under a section headed "UK Culture", the materials explicitly state that females possess identical rights to men and must receive respectful and courteous treatment.

The presentation warns that harassing or abusing any female could result in arrest.

It also emphasises that violence of any kind remains unacceptable, with this message capitalised within the document.

Additional guidance covers the use of certain swear words, which the presentation notes can cause "great insult" and potentially constitute criminal behaviour when used publicly.

The materials also caution that arrests could jeopardise asylum claims, whilst providing basic safety advice including proper use of footpaths and road crossing procedures.

The police initiative emerged following community and parental complaints regarding young male asylum seekers loitering near a primary school in the county, including allegations of filming activities.

The presentation, obtained through freedom of information laws, specifically warns migrants against taking photographs and videos.
