GB News host Andrew Pierce has launched a scathing attack on Emmanuel Macron for referring to the Channel migrant crisis as "irregular migration", declaring the term a "joke".
The French President declared in a speech during his state visit to the UK that Britain and France have a "shared responsibility" to address "irregular migration".
Macron said: "In this unstable world, hope for a better life elsewhere is legitimate. But we cannot allow our countries' rules for taking in people to be flouted and criminal networks to cynically exploit the hopes of so many individuals with so little respect for human life.
"France and the UK have a shared responsibility to address irregular migration with humanity, solidarity and fairness."

Pointing out the use of the phrase, Andrew stated that the use of "irregular" rather than "illegal" migration shows the Government is "taking us for mugs".
Andrew fumed: "Saying irregular is just a joke, and what I can't stand about this Government doing this is they take us for mugs.
"Who do they think is fooled by it by saying irregular migration?"
Warning that if the term is used "often enough" it will cause people "to believe it", Andrew cautioned: "Once or twice it's crept in here. Because if you say it often enough, it's the old Blair mantra, if you say it often enough, people believe it.

PA"So you've got to be really wary. We're not using that expression 'irregular migration' here, because it's illegal."
Delivering her verdict on the term, Bev explained that the migrant crisis alongside the cost to taxpayers for funding them are the "two biggest issues today".
Bev told GB News: "Illegal migration and the cost of that to the country repeatedly comes up as the most concerning issue of the day, because the two sit side by side.
"If we didn't have a cost of living crisis, we might feel we could be more generous with people coming to live here.
"Because we are a generous country, but we can't afford anything, and we can't get to see a doctor or a dentist."
Highlighting the lack of "justice" for Britons, Andrew added: "The disability benefits, we've got to cut them, but we can find £4billion a year to put migrants in hotels.

"Special educational needs are going to be have to cut back and it's four billion a year for the migrants. It really sticks in people's craw, there's no sense of justice."
Pointing out one aspect of Macron's speech which she believed was "right", Bev said: "I was quite happy, actually, to hear Macron say 'long live France and long live the UK'. Damn right!"
Andrew then concluded: "The speech at Windsor he did in French, and then they all got up to do the standing ovation. Did they do the standing ovation in French?
"If I was at that dinner, what I would have done when anybody stood up, I would have firmly stayed in my seat. How can you give a standing ovation to something you didn't understand a word of?"
