Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the “future of the monarchy”, a guest has told Dan Wootton ahead of the couple’s trip to the UK.
Meghan and Harry are set to travel to the UK in the coming days alongside their children Archie and Lilibet to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
And while some have called for the couple not to make the trip from the US, Daily Mirror associate editor Kevin Maguire believes they are “entitled” to the visit.

Speaking in a debate about the subject on GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight with consultant editor of the Daily Mail, Andrew Pierce, Mr Maguire said: “He’s a British citizen, he’s entitled to come here.
“Dan, you and Andrew would be the first to slag him off if he didn’t come with Meghan, you’ll be saying that he’s boycotted it, it’s absolutely terrible.
“He can’t win now can he.
“You’re in favour of the hereditary principal of the monarchy, I’m not, I wouldn’t mind if they all moved to the US and saved us a lot of money and trouble.
“His mother would’ve wanted him to come back and his grandmother will want him there, she’ll want the whole family there.
“You should just say, yes they have behaved badly in the past unquestionably about that.
“But you think, if I’m a monarchist I would want to get them back together because in some ways Harry and Meghan are the future of the monarchy.”
His comments come after royal expert Camilla Tominey claimed that courtiers have been doing “everything in their power” to diffuse the situation between the couple and the monarchy ahead of their visit.
Ms Tominey said in the Telegraph: "Amid fears that another ‘Sussex bomb’ is about to be dropped on the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, after their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview and news of the Duke’s forthcoming, warts-and-all autobiography, courtiers have been doing everything in their power to diffuse any potential flash points.”
