Man's head glued back together after being hit with pole during car theft

A man in Workshop was viciously attacked with a pole after parking his car in Workshop on 27th November, the victim subsequently required his head to be glued back together.

His car was also stolen after the incident at in Godfreys Court, Worksop, after refusing to offer a lift to a gentleman who approached him.

Following the refusal, it is alleged the assailant became very violent as the victim attempted to close the door to his house, at which point the suspect smashed the victim’s phone, demanded his bank cards, and hit him around the head with a pole, said the Nottingham Post.

The man left the address before stealing the victim’s car and driving away.

After being refused, the suspect then allegedly became violent as the man attempted to close the door to his address to get away.

The suspect then followed the man inside and hit him around the head with a metal pole, smashed his phone and demanded his bank card, pin number and car keys.

The man then fled the address before driving away at speed in the victim’s stolen blue vehicle.

The injured man was taken to hospital and left with a bruised and swollen eye and needing part of his head gluing back together.

Detective Constable Chloe Baugh, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty and scary incident for the victim and resulted in him having to seek hospital attention.

“We are now appealing for anyone who may have any information or CCTV footage to get in touch with the police to help us with our investigation.

“If anyone has any information on what happened and has not already spoken to officers, we would like to hear from them as soon as possible to help trace the suspect and the stolen car.”
