The site is also open to the public and houses stage coaches used by the Royal Family.

The arrest comes after a man was arrested back in May following another security scare at Buckingham Palace.

He was detained by armed officers after a number of shotgun cartridges were thrown over the permitter fence and into an area at the front of the Palace.

In February, Jaswant Singh Chail admitted a charge under the Treason Act of trying to harm the late Queen.

He was caught in the grounds of Windsor castle with a loaded crossbow, on Christmas Day 2021.

He is due to be sentenced in the next few weeks.
