Just Stop Oil activists have threatened to cause chaos at other upcoming events, including the London Marathon on Sunday

Eco-protestors have hinted about causing chaos at the same time as King Charles’s Coronation after liking a map of the monarch’s procession route on social media.

Just Stop Oil, which created mayhem earlier this week at the Crucible when an activist doused powder over a table at the World Snooker Championship, dropped the cryptic message about staging an event on May 6.

The group liked a post on Twitter by an account which provides updates about King Charles’s big day.

Just Stop Oil also interacted with dozens of retweets urging the eco-zealots to “do something funny for once” and “make the country proud”.

Asked on GB News about whether there were any plans to coincide with the historic occasion, the 20-year-old said: "I can't answer that, I am sorry."

King Charles’s procession will take him on a 1.3 mile journey from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

It is notably shorter than Queen Elizabeth’s five-mile route in 1953, which took Britain’s longest-reigning monarch through up to Hyde Park Corner and Oxford Circus.

Just Stop Oil is not the only group expected to protest at King Charles’ Coronation.

The anti-monarchy group Republic also revealed plans to target the event.

Republic have reportedly suggested it will look to protest at the beginning and the end of the route.

Around 1,000 activists, many of whom will carry signs saying “not my King”, will descend on Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.

Republic CEO Graham Smith said: “We want to make sure we have as many people as possible when Charles goes past, which we assume will be between 10am and 10.30am.

“You hope to be reasonably down near the front with a sea of placards.

“It’s a matter of standing out, making a very bold statement that there is a Republican movement and we’re not a nation of royalists.

“We have megaphones and an amplifier with a microphone. We should be unmissable.”

Despite Smith’s comments, recent opinion polls indicate a majority of Brits believe the monarchy is good for Britain.

YouGov’s poll tracker found that 53 percent of respondents voiced support for the Firm and just 14 per cent said the Royal Family was bad for Britain.

However, separate surveys suggest claim young people are less interested in Coronation celebrations than their older compatriots.
