Jeremy Corbyn has joined forces with Just Stop Oil to unleash a “major wave of popular mass action” later this year.
The former Labour leader has joined the activists through his Peace and Justice Project, a group he set up in 2021.
The new campaign, titled ‘We All Want to Just Stop Oil’, says it will kick off its protests with a march in central London on July 23.

Just Stop Oil protesters have been causing chaos across the UK in recent months as they continue to urge the Government to stop fossil fuel licensing and production.
Dozens of their supporters have been arrested after blocking major roads and oil terminals.
One activist, Louis McKechnie, even tied himself to a goal post during a Premier League football game in a bid to get his message across.
On Wednesday, the group held up traffic in Newcastle by blocking a road in demonstration. .
Speaking after he teamed up with Just Stop Oil, Mr Corbyn said: "Movements are the motor of change in history.
"When we come together, we can transform the world.
"And we must because those in power – the fossil fuel giants, the billionaires and the governments they own – are picking our pockets and stealing our future."
Just Stop Oil spokesman Lawrence Leather added: "As the climate breaks down, the cost of everything will rise.
“That’s why we want to bring together the broadest coalition we can, including the trade unions, Britain’s biggest social movement, around concrete demands that decarbonise and put money back in people’s pockets.”
