Attempts have been made to try to prevent James Corden from coming back to the UK after he announced he would be returning home after quitting his role as the host on The Late Late Show.
In April Corden announced the news on his US talk-show, explaining how the programme had changed his life and promised there would be “lots of tears” when his time on it comes to an end.
He added: “When I started this journey it was always going to be just that, a journey, an adventure.
“I never saw as it as my final destination, and I never want this show to overstay its welcome, I love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what’s out there.”
The petition has received over 300 signatures so far.

Now, some people have tried to make sure he does not return to the UK when the show finishes in the summer of 2023.
A petition, which has so far been signed by over 300 people reads: “Eight years ago, James Corden left the UK for the US to work on The Late Show.
“Since then, we've had to collectively deal with the impact of the Tory government, Brexit and Covid-19.”
It goes on to share how they believe the UK is better off without the 43-year-old comedian.
It continues: “now he's leaving The Late Show and is returning to our British pastures.
"So I beg you, if you do one thing today, please, I implore you to sign this petition.
“There's just not enough cringe in this small country for him to induce.”
The petition has been flooded with comments of support with one person saying “It’s the right and proper thing to do”, another said “I’m not even British, but I feel your pain. Good luck”.
