GB News will celebrate the special day with unrivalled programming from breakfast right through into the evening

GB News’ team of presenters and reporters will be out in force across Great Britain on Monday - delivering the very best coverage to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

The People’s Channel will be broadcasting live from Buckingham Palace to mark the occasion, with presenters and reporters also attending local events, street parties and parades up and down the land.


GB News’ unmissable coverage will run from dawn to dusk and provide a front row seat to iconic moments like the fly-past and the Royal procession through London.

Our coverage will take in all the pomp and pageantry and it kicks off at 6am from Buckingham Palace on Monday with Stephen Dixon and Ellie Costello fronting: Breakfast VE Day Special with Stephen and Ellie.

Then in an extended Britain’s Newsroom VE Day Special, Bev Turner and Andrew Pierce will anchor coverage from Buckingham Palace from 9.30am to 3pm. Among the guests alongside Bev and Andrew will be GB News' Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker, who will be on hand with the latest information from his royal sources. Bev and Andrew will also deliver analysis about the Royal Family’s involvement, and hear from expert commentators on the military procession.

Presenters, including Ben Leo and Tom Harwood, will be on the ground at various locations bringing the latest reaction as Brits celebrate. And Emily Carver will be presenting alongside Patrick Christys as they join a street party in Melton Mowbray, Leicester.

Then, as the parties get going, our regional team will be heading out in force including hopping aboard HMS Belfast.Martin Daubney will present his programme from Buckingham Palace with Martin Daubney VE Special kicking off at 3pm.

At 6pm, Nana Akua will front Dewbs and Co where she and her guests will reflect on an historic day and discuss all that unfolded.

GB News’ coverage will continue late into the night - and culminate in a live studio panel featuring veterans through the generations. They will be joining Patrick for a special edition of Patrick Christys Tonight.
