Essex Police release migrant protester raid video as Epping hotel arrests hit 16

Essex Police has released dramatic video footage showing the moment that a suspected Epping migrant hotel protester was arrested in his own living room.
The force, which came under fire after being accused of escorting counter-demonstrators to the hotel, sent officers into the young man's home in connection with the disorder seen in Epping on July 17.
The man, aged in his 20s, was led away from the property after being handcuffed and placed into the back of a police car.
Officers, who arrested the man at a property in Harlow at around 5.45pm yesterday, also informed the suspect that they would carry out a search of his home for items of clothing potentially worn on July 17.
In the 44-second video, the arresting officer said: "Hello mate, you all right?
"Put your hands up for me mate. You are going to be arrested, you are under arrest for section two violent disorder for an offence that occurred on July 17.
"So you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
"The reason for your arrest is so we can interview you about it and also do post arrest searches.

"So we will be searching for items of clothing you were wearing on the day. Understand?
"So what we're going to do is we're going to sit you down and then have a search around the address under section 32 of Pace (Police and Criminal Evidence Act)."
Essex Police has also confirmed that the total number of arrests connected with disorder witnessed outside the Epping migrant hotel has now hit 16.
Six people have also been charged for their actions near the hotel, including 34-year-old Kenneth Blissett.

Blissett, from Harlow, was charged with theft of police equipment and possession of an offensive weapon.
He remains on bail and is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on September 30.
Eight officers have been injured and a number of police vehicles have been damaged during the protests, which included missiles being hurled.
Protests kicked off in the leafy corner of Essex after a 38-year-old asylum seeker was charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl near the hotel.

Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, who came to the UK from Ethiopia, denies the three counts of sexual assault, one count of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity and one count of harassment without violence.
However, Essex Police's handling of the subsequent protests has been questioned by Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.
Farage called on Essex Police Chief Constable Ben-Julian Harrington to quit after footage appeared to show officers escorting counter-demonstrators to the scene of the protest.
Despite dismissing Farage's claim that police had "bussed" counter-demonstrators to the hotel, Harrington admitted that officers provided a "foot cordon" escort to the scene of the protest.
