Angeline Bryan, 47, suffered a fatal head injury after falling from her privately owned e-scooter

A mother-of-14 has died after falling off her electric scooter, with her heartbroken family launching a fundraiser in her honour.

Angeline Bryan, 47, suffered a fatal injury after falling from her privately owned e-scooter and hitting her head on the concrete.

The “kind and beautiful” woman was helping her friend move house in Nottingham when the incident occurred.

She did not realise the seriousness of her injury and carried on living her life as normal.

“She got up and carried on, although she complained of a headache over the next couple of days,” said her daughter, Jaymi Andrews.

However, five days later, Bryan died after suffering from a “massive stroke”.

Her children, aged between five and 29, are being cared for by relatives in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

“It was such a shock to us all,” said Jaymi.

“This devastating accident has left us all heartbroken and lost.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

“Mum was our queen. She was there for all of us and her grandchildren. Everyone who knew our mum knew she was there for everyone, and would put strangers before herself every single time.”

On the third day after her fall, Bryan began acting strangely and her friend became so concerned by her erratic behaviour that she called emergency services.

Byran was not taken to hospital, her daughter said, because paramedics thought she was drunk.

The next morning, her condition worsened even further, causing her friend to ring 999 once more. This time, emergency services took her to the hospital.

Doctors discovered she had four bleeds from her brain so decided to place her in a coma.

On the fifth day, she suffered a stroke. The 47-year-old was was put on a life support machine but sadly passed away.

Jaymi, her eldest child, has set up a GoFundMe page to try and raise £6,000 to pay for her mother's funeral.

"We so desperately want to give her a nice send-off, and as a family, we are asking for donations towards her funeral and wake," the description of the fundraiser said.
