Seven-month-old baby girl who died after family's pet dog bit her on the head pictured

A seven-month-old baby girl who was mauled to death by her family's pet dog has been named and pictured.
Elle Doherty was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon following the attack but died just a short time later.
West Midlands Police were called to the property in Shorncliffe Road, Coventry shortly after 3pm on Sunday.
The seven-month-old baby sustained serious head injuries from the attack.
The dog, a Belgian Malinois, is not registered as a dangerous breed.
It was removed from the house on Sunday and humanely destroyed.
West Midlands Police were "satisfied" that no criminal offences were committed.
They said: "We have updated Elle’s family, and a file is now being prepared for the Coroner.

A separate statement issued after the attack echoed concern about the tragedy.
It said: "A baby has tragically died after being bitten by a pet dog at a home in Coventry.
"We were called to a property at Shorncliffe Road shortly after 3pm on Sunday.

"Together with our ambulance colleagues, we arrived within minutes.
"A seven-month-old baby girl had received serious injuries to her head after being bitten by the family's dog inside the home.
"She received treatment at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to hospital for further treatment. Tragically, she died a short time later.
"Our thoughts remain with her family at this devastating time."
