Bud Light staff have been hit with a barrage of abuse following the Dylan Mulvaney debacle.

Salespeople at the American beer company have faced “abusive language”, the “middle finger” and homophobic slurs after the 26-year-old transgender influencer joined forces with Bud Light.

A company supervisor told ABC News: “This has really, really killed a lot of the guys who are commission-based.”

The insider added: “There's nothing they could've done - this was thrown in their faces.”

Bud Light staff noted an increase in disparaging behaviour after Mulvaney started promoting the beverage in early April.

Conservatives have led a backlash against the parent company Anheuser-Busch by boycotting Bud Light altogether.

American singer Kid Rock, 52, even shot several cases of Bud Light with an assault rifle.

The overall backlash has resulted in sales nosediving.

Anheuser-Busch subsequently lost a whopping $27billion in value in market capitalisation.

Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO Michel Doukeris revealed the boycott was impacting all parts of the company.

He said: “This situation has impacted our people and especially our frontline workers: The delivery drivers, sales representatives, our wholesalers, Bud owners and servers.”

However, a president of a distributor in the Midwest attempted to console employees about the boycott.

He claimed: “I'm frustrated that this has [dragged] on as long as it has.

“None of this is your fault and none of this is my fault.”

There was also a backlash from some LGBT+ outlets over the debacle.

Five LGBT+ bars in Chicago dropped Bud Light after Anheuser-Busch’s CEO said he “never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people”.
