Chris Pincher, former Deputy Chief Whip of the Conservative Party who allegedly groped two men while drunk, has been suspended from the party.
A Conservative spokeswomen said: "Having heard that a formal complaint has been made to the ICGS, the PM has agreed with the Chief Whip that the whip should be suspended from Chris Pincher while the investigation is ongoing.
"We will not pre-judge that investigation. We urge colleagues and the media to respect that process."
Mr Pincher resigned yesterday evening, saying he had "embarrassed" himself after drinking "far too much".

Allegations arose that he groped two men on Wednesday night while visiting a members-only club.
Kelly Tolhurst, the Conservative MP for Rochester and Strood in Kent, has been appointed the new Deputy Chief Whip while Mr Pincher's suspension is carried out.
The announcement of Mr Pincher's suspension follows mounting tension from MP's, condemning the whip's actions.
Labour's Yvette Cooper called for his suspension while the "really serious" allegations are formally investigated.
"This is about sexual assault," she added.
