THE Metropolitan police has launched a murder investigation after a man died of his injuries following a fight in West London.
Emergency services were called to the area around Richmond Bridge around 4am on Saturday.
A man in his early 30s was found suffering serious injuries.
Officers administered CPR before the arrival of paramedics. Specialist trauma teams treated the victim at the scene before transferring him to a nearby major trauma centre.

But despite the efforts of medics, the victim died later in hospital.
Scotland Yard said the man's next of kin had been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A post-mortem examination has still to be carried out to determine the cause of death, but eyewitnesses in the area suggested the man was stabbed.
Leading investigator, Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin said: "We believe a number of people watched the incident unfold and some onlookers may have recorded footage on their mobile phones.
"Anyone who has yet to speak to us is urged to come forward immediately.
"My team are working to provide the deceased man's family with answers and the public could have valuable information that will help our investigation."
Chief Superintendent Lis Chapple, in charge of local policing in Richmond said: "My thoughts are with the man who died and his family.
"We will do everything we can to support our colleagues in Specialist Crime as they work to establish what has happened here.
"A scene will remain in place and my officers will remain posted at the scene and in the area to speak to local people about any concerns they have, or information they might want to share."

The Metropolitan police has confirmed that no one has been arrested so far in connection with the murder investigation.
