The first three episodes were released on Thursday

GB News presenter Anne Diamond has called Harry and Meghan’s new Netflix docuseries as boring, and has threatened to cancel her subscription over the show.

Speaking on Breakfast with Stephen & Anne, the presenter said the series would help put people to sleep.

Broadcaster Clare Muldoon told GB News: “Really good recommendation if you’re trying to get to sleep is watch Harry and Meghan on Netflix.”

Anne agreed: “It really does put you to sleep.

“You start thinking of other things you can do while you’re watching it.”

She added: “I feel so strongly about it now I really want to cancel my Netflix subscription.”

Challenged by Stephen Dixon and journalist Kevin Schofield over watching the next three episodes, Anne said it was inevitable that she would have to so she could keep up to date with the story.

Disagreeing, Stephen responded: “Unless you’re a royal reporter or a showbiz reporter, citing journalist integrity watching that is a little bit far.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have insisted they always intended to keep up public duties after quitting the royal family, and said a “distorted narrative” had been created to “trap” them into silence.

Harry and Meghan never cited privacy as the reason for stepping back as senior working royals more than two years ago, a spokeswoman said.

A statement from their global press secretary accused the tabloids of creating “an entirely untrue narrative” around privacy, and said the royal couple “are choosing to share their story, on their terms”.
