National Savings and Investment (NS&I) has confirmed which two lucky winners have become the UK's newest millionaires after scooping the top prize in their Premium Bond draw for May 2025.
Unlike regular savings accounts, bond holders do not receive additional interest but are instead enrolled into a prize draw to have the opportunity to win tax-free prizes of up to £1million.
The first £1 million Premium Bond jackpot winner is from Derbyshire.
Their winning Bond number, 462DR240519, was purchased in July 2021, and they hold £25,361 in Premium Bonds.
The second £1 million winner is based in Suffolk.

The odds of winning in the monthly Premium Bond prize draw are 22,000 to 1 for every £1 Bond, with a variable annual prize fund rate of 3.80 per cent.
There is no tax on any prizes, as all winnings are completely tax-free. To participate, the minimum investment is £25, while the maximum allowed is £50,000.
