The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) is under heightened scrutiny ahead of Chancellor Rachel Reeves's Autumn Budget on November 2026.
Ms Reeves is understood to have received a lower productivity growth forecast from the fiscal watchdog earlier this week, which could impact her decision-making in the months ahead.
