The five nations will be discussing a joint US-European proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in the Russian war in Ukraine which - if refused by Moscow - would see them jointly impose new sanctions on Vladimir Putin's regime.
Putin himself has put forward numerous ceasefires in the last month alone. Ukraine has accused him of breaking them almost instantaneously.
The Russian premier's spin doctor Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Russia supports the implementation of a 30-day ceasefire in the conflict.
However, Peskov counselled, that will only come alongside the due consideration of so-called "nuances".
