The England international left Old Trafford for Stamford Bridge on deadline day
When Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the forward had everything to become an Old Trafford legend.
Just three years later, however, his time at the club is over after Chelsea agreed a loan deal with an obligation to buy on transfer deadline day.
Sancho, to be kind, has underwhelmed at United. Certainly there have been precious few flashes of quality, with the forward a shadow of the electrifying winger that tore up the Bundesliga just a few years ago.
At Chelsea, they're hoping he can fare better. Sancho grew up supporting the Blues and living in London will likely provide him with a new lease of life.

Over at United, however, they can be forgiven for looking at Sancho as arguably the worst signing in the club's entire history.
United have burned through millions ever since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013. There have been duds aplenty, which is why they're now a faded force.
Angel Di Maria started brightly in 2014 but his form faded and, after just one year in English football, he was sent packing to Paris Saint-Germain.
The less said about Radamel Falcao, who netted just four goals after joining United that same year, the better.

Paul Pogba never lived up to the dizzying expectations upon arriving in 2016, having flourished in Serie A with Juventus.
Romelu Lukaku, who touched down in 2017, scored 28 goals in his first season at United. After a big dip in form he was sent packing, however, with Solskjaer deciding he preferred Anthony Martial as his main man instead.
Alexis Sanchez was dire, Donny van de Beek was another flop and though Cristiano Ronaldo provided fans with some memorable moments, his Hollywood homecoming three years ago failed to spark a resurgence from United.
Sancho, however, is probably the worst of the lot.

He was irked upon joining United after missing out on the club's iconic No 7 shirt. Edinson Cavani refused to give it up for Sancho, though did make an exception for Ronaldo.
Sancho cost United a massive £73million upon joining from Dortmund. Since then he's managed to score just nine Premier League goals, with a mere six assists to his name as well.
What went wrong? Well, the player himself isn't blameless.
More than one person at United felt Sancho was lazy, with the 24-year-old falling out with Erik ten Hag last year following complaints about his performances in training.

Top players apologise and knuckle down. Sancho didn't do either of those things, which is why he spent the second half of last season back at Dortmund.
It'll now be fascinating to see how he gets on at Chelsea, a club so chaotic that players arriving late for training could even go under the radar.

They firmly believe they're onto a winner with Sancho. They are confident that Enzo Maresca can do what the likes of Solskjaer, Ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick have not.
But there's still nothing to suggest he'll be any better in blue than red. Sancho was awful at United - and flopping at Chelsea will see him discarded to the scrap heap.
