Christopher Hope reveals all about a 'day in the life' of a Political Editor
GB News
In a video exclusively for GB News members, Christopher Hope goes through his typical day as a Political Editor
Talking to GB News Community Editor Michael Heaver in Westminster, Christopher revealed all about his role for GB News: "I do what's called a hit. Often just after the hour they go to me somewhere in Westminster, what's happened today, and it's the biggest story of the day I'll be talking about.
"The first hit can be as early as 7:00AM but more likely to be 8:00AM or 9:00AM and it runs through until four or five or 6:00PM.
"But increasingly it's going into the evening for the prime time shows to bring politics into the different audience there and especially me looking me with an earpiece in my ear."
Christopher explained how he views his role for GB News, setting out how: "I try and imagine with people at home listening to it, you know what they're finding interesting and trying to communicate, what can be complex issues but allow them to be readily understood by people who are busy.
"When I get on, they've got to be able to understand what your story is and why it matters to them in a minute.
"And the challenge is trying to find a way to hold their attention for just one minute. Have one minute of your time. Here's why it matters."
