However, the type of pillowcase you use and how often you change this could also make a difference to how your skin looks.
This is because regularly changing your pillow will stop bacteria from transferring to the skin.
Opting for a silk pillowcase can go one step further and reduce your chances of getting wrinkles as quickly.

"Believe it or not, changing your pillowcases can do wonders for your skin," according to beauty experts at SoulFactors.
"Bacteria easily gets transferred from your skin to your pillows and can result in acne, so it’s important to refresh them regularly.
"Dust mites and allergens also quickly accumulate on the surface, which may irritate."
Washing your pillowcase every week, or at least every two weeks, will "remove excess oil, sweat and make-up".
Using a silk or satin pillowcase is also kind to your skin and hair, and can even turn back to signs of ageing.
The experts added: "You may want to level up your game with silk and satin pillowcases, as these reduce friction between your skin and the sheets, minimising breakouts, hair damage and wrinkles."
Sleeping with a silk or satin pillowcase is often hailed as an anti-ageing tool as the smooth and high quality material produces less friction on the skin.
However, more research is needed into the effectiveness of this.
