Royal Mail has adjusted its schedule for the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend

As Britons post their last-minute Easter cards and gifts, Royal Mail has shared a service update for the long weekend.

With two bank holidays (Good Friday and Easter Monday), customers can expect changes to the regular postal service.

Royal Mail has confirmed that there will be no deliveries or collections on Good Friday and Easter Monday during the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend.

The exception is Scotland, where normal service will operate on Good Friday.

Royal Mail's Customer Service Points will be open for the collection of urgent items where a 'Something for you' card has been left.

Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday)

Sunday parcel deliveries are expected to continue as normal on Easter Sunday, April 20.

Royal Mail has confirmed its Sunday service will operate despite the bank holiday weekend.

Public and local holidays

Royal Mail does not usually deliver or collect mail on public and local holidays.

The postal service maintains separate holiday schedules for England and Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. These schedules are available online and may be subject to change, particularly for local holidays.

After the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, the next holiday affecting all four UK regions will be the Early May Bank Holiday, where there will be no collections or deliveries.
