During a 2020 interview, Fiennes told the Evening Standard that he lives in Bethnal Green.

The East London community is home to a large Bangladeshi community and scores of young professionals.
According to Rightmove, properties in Bethnal Green had an overall average price of £589,946 over the last year.
“The majority of sales in Bethnal Green during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £543,990," according to the property experts.
“Terraced properties sold for an average of £1,025,787.
"Overall, sold prices in Bethnal Green over the last year were one per cent down on the previous year and three per cent down on the 2020 peak of £610,099.”
According to East London History, Bethnal Green is one of the oldest and most vibrant areas in the East End, with a rich and varied past that spans from medieval times to the present day.
“The first recorded names for Bethnal Green were Blithehale and Blythenhale,” according to the website.
“These could be translated as 'happy corners,' although nobody is exactly sure where the name came from.
“Over time, the area became known as Blethenal Green and then Bethan Hall Green.”
The area saw a rapid surge in its population and urbanisation over the 18th and 19th centuries, following various social changes and immigration patterns.

House prices in the area are still 40 per cent below the Zone 2 average, however.
The experts noted: “More importantly perhaps, it is a clear winner in terms of travel time, with an average tube journey of just eight minutes into work.
“As a result, Bethnal Green tops our list of the best ‘value to time’ ratio.”
