Hair loss is part of the ageing process but an expert shared tips to help

Long, thick hair can help give Britons a healthy glow and a younger appearance.

An expert shared the best ways to improve your hair and look younger for those struggling with hair loss.

Hair loss can affect everyone as they age but menopause is a common reason for women's hair to thin.

Nosheen Choudhry, founder of Nosheen Hair Oil, spoke exclusively to GB News to share her best tips for healthier-looking hair.

She explained: "The body goes through numerous changes and one of them is hair thinning and hair loss.

"That's because of the hormonal levels, they're just kind of all over the place when the body goes through menopause. Unfortunately, it's just one of the side effects of ageing."

Luckily, the expert said there are a few ways to slow down or reverse hair loss.

"I get people asking me, like 'we're going through menopause' or even pregnancy, hair loss of any kind, such as stress-related," Nosheen continued.

"I always tell them, you think you're going through such a big major problem, but you don't need to do a lot.

"It's very simple, you just need to do less, in fact. Just use natural products."

Nosheen said she had been through her own hair loss when losing weight and shared what she did to restore her hair's thickness and healthiness.

She continued: "I started using only natural oils, and natural products, and not giving the hair any heat.

"I stopped using straighteners. Things like thickening shampoos can also help, especially with people with menopause and hair loss."

Nosheen added a nutritious diet and massaging her scalp made a big difference as well.

She added: "The main thing was I changed my diet because healthy hair does start from within.

"So I changed my diet by eating a lot of protein, taking multivitamin tablets, Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin B.

"I did religiously start oiling, like massaging the oil into my scalp at least two to three times a week and I used to leave it in overnight.

"I would wash it out the next day using a natural shampoo. And that really did make a difference."

If using a hair oil, Nosheen recommended her hair oil which contains all natural ingredients.

She stated the recipe was passed down from her grandmother and is full of ingredients that are great for hair.

Nosheen said: "In my family, because I'm Asian, we love kind of like really long, healthy thick hair.

"The oil consists of 10 different oils, all-natural castor oil and peppermint oil, lavender, rosemary, cedarwood, and blackseed.

"The main one is rosemary oil. And what that does is really help with promoting hair growth."
