A hair expert advised women to invest in a clarifying shampoo and a hair scrub
Investing in a few key products may be the secret to better hair at any age.
Hairdresser and TikTok creator Toni Rowles (@tonirowles1) took to the sharing platform to reveal her top two products for "improving your hair". She advised ladies to add these to their hair routine.
Toni said: "In this video, I'm going to give you some hints and tips on a few ways that don't cost a lot but can really help with recovering your hair."
She revealed that she has been a hairdresser all her life and has a wealth of knowledge on how to "fall back in love" with your hair.

First, Toni recommended women invest in a clarifying shampoo. She said: "It's fantastic for getting rid of all the build-up and the pile-up, especially if you've got extensions. It's a brilliant thing to use."
The experts at Giovanni Cosmetics seconded the importance of clarifying your hair.
They said: "Clarifying your hair means clearing it of 'buildup'. Without proper care, nearly all hair will accumulate build-up over time. This can come from our scalp’s natural oils (called sebum), or it can come from plain old dirt if you work in a dirty environment or spend a lot of time outside.
"But most commonly, the buildup in our hair comes from hair care products themselves, such as styling gels, hair serums, and even shampoos and conditioners.
"This doesn’t mean that hair care products are bad, and learning how to clarify your hair doesn’t mean giving up the products that work for you.
"But it does mean that you should keep a dedicated clarifying hair product on hand for whenever you need to clarify."
Ladies were encouraged "not to scrimp" on the product but instead apply a generous amount. The experts said: "Start with too much and reduce the amount over time until you determine just the right amount."
Clarifying shampoo should be massaged into wet hair thoroughly. Those who have particularly oily hair or lots of build-up can wash their hair with a clarifying shampoo before rinsing it off, then complete the process again. Finish off by applying a clarifying conditioner.
Secondly, hairdresser Toni recommended purchasing a hair scrub. She said: "It's amazing, really good. Do your research - a hair scrub is b***** brilliant."
The hair gurus at Tangle Teezer corroborate this: "Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, so it's in your (and your locks') best interest to get down with a scalp scrub.
