The new additions come as shoppers experiment with Japanese and Korean flavours and recipes

Waitrose has introduced eight new products inspired by viral cooking trends and customers' growing desire to recreate popular Asian dishes.

The latest additions will form part of the Cooks' Ingredients range, which aims to "elevate every meal with a pinch of spice, a spoonful of sauce or a flash of flavour".

As the supermarket reports soaring demand for Korean and Japanese cuisines among customers, the latest additions aim to facilitate a taste of Asia at home.

The new range includes Korean-inspired Bibimbap Sauce, Hot Honey Gochujang, and Salt & Pepper Seasoning.

TikTok searches for Japanese Chicken and Japanese Recipes have surged by 340 per cent and 1,000 per cent, respectively, in just one week.

The supermarket reported that its Japanese-inspired Ottolenghi Miso Pesto Cooks’ Ingredients White Miso is already popular with shoppers.

It predicted that as Cooks’ Ingredients Miso Tomato Paste joins the lineup, it is set to be a pantry "staple" for many.

For those keen to "dial up the heat", Waitrose has announced the long-awaited Cooks' Ingredients Sriracha Sprinkle.

This comes as shoppers ramp up their searches for Sriracha Mayo and Sriracha Sauce on the Waitrose website.

TikTok searches for Salt and Pepper recipes have increased by a whopping 468 per cent in the last week alone, with budding chefs eager to whip up flavourful Chicken Wings, Squid, and Tofu.

As demand soars, Waitrose hopes its new Salt & Pepper Seasoning will "prove popular with our customers looking to recreate these dishes at home".
