A successful weight loss journey involves numerous components, such as diet, exercise, motivation, and consistency.
A slimmer who lost 7st in just six months naturally named the three-part program she followed to achieve such successful results.
Mackenzie Harrington spoke on YouTube (@TheWinnerLifestyle) about how she needed to "change her life" and shared the strategies behind her weight loss.
She said: "The first is daily accountability, the second is calorie cycling, and the third is strength training. Daily accountability, I feel, is the most important factor."
Calorie cycling proved to be an effective way of eating for the slimmer
YouTube/TheWinnerLifestyleThe slimmer noted what she ate each day, what exercise she did, and any targets she had and shared this information with her coach.
Mackenzie explained: "When you are on your own in a weight loss journey, you can justify your actions and take a cheat weekend.
"So with your daily accountability, having someone who holds you accountable to your goals is paramount. It is not meant to create fear or shame. It is simply using your own body's data to measure your progress."
The second component is calorie cycling, which is split into having a fast day and a regular day consistently.
Mackenzie stated: "On the fast days, the goal is to let your body use its own reserves to fuel your day. You can supplement with a calorie limit.
"Our tactic here is to choose high-volume fruit but with low calories. This often consists of melons, berries, or vegetables, and keep hydrating."
The idea of mixing between fast days and regular eating days is to "keep your body in a state of confusion", which will support weight loss.
The slimmer added: "This method does not allow the body to adapt to change and makes your weight loss really easy."

For the slimmer, she preferred focusing on the third factor last; however, it can be integrated during weight loss.
She explained: "The third stage is with strength. When I reached the end of my weight loss journey, I was skinny but not strong.
"One of the reasons I liked [losing weight] this way was when I started to put muscle on, I could really see it come in."
Mackenzie continued to fuel her body daily and found "extra power and strength".
She added: "I'm doing things I did not think my body could do. I am now training for a half-marathon."
