Documents registered with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report that more than 500,000 vehicles are being recalled for numerous issues.

The largest recall deals with certain Aviator and Explorer models manufactured between 2020 and 2025, which impacts 304,662 units.

The issue could see second-row seats move unexpectedly, which may not properly restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, dramatically increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will inspect the second-row seat switch and replace the bezel around the switch if the issue is identified. This will be free for the impacted motorist.

The second issue concerns almost 200,000 Mustang Mach E vehicles (2021-2025) which are low on battery charge.

If the issue is present, the electronic door latches may remain locked once the driver or front passenger exits and shuts the door.

In this event, the NHTSA warns that it could "possibly trap someone who is unable to use the inside door release handles, such as a child in the back seat".

If an accident is to occur, the rear occupant's head could come into contact with the C-pillar, potentially causing catastrophic harm.

Almost 92,000 vehicles could be at risk, with the C-pillar failing to absorb an adequate amount of the impact, prompting Mercedes to instruct dealers to modify the roof lining of affected vehicles.

The recall impacts certain 2023-2025 GLC 300, GLC 300 4MATIC, 2024-2025 AMG GLC 43 4MATIC, 2025 GLC 350E 4MATIC, and AMG GLC 63 S E vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof.

Around 260,000 vehicles are being recalled by American Honda Motor Company amid fears that a brake pedal could shift out of position, preventing the driver from applying the brakes.

If this were to occur, the vehicles would fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment", and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

Certain Acura TLX (2021-2025), Acura MDX (2023-2025) and Honda Pilot (2023-2025) models are impacted. Owner notification letters are expected to be sent around July 28, 2025.
