The supermarket is making two huge changes in time for the summer holidays

Britons can take advantage of Asda's new half price offer on adult meals from 3pm every day from tomorrow.

The campaign lasts for the whole summer until September 4 in all 205 Asda Cafés and is the first time Asda has offered the deal on its main meals.

The supermarket is also extending its "Kids Eat For £1" scheme by another five months until the end of the year to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis.

It was first launched in June 2022 and has been expanded to include the winter period and during half term holidays.

A family of four will be able to eat out for less than £8.50 with a mixture of the deals.

For example, for just £3.25 instead of £6.45, customers will be able to buy meals like steak and ale pie with chips and peas, fish and chips, lasagne with garlic bread and salad, or chicken tikka masala.

Every main meal on Asda Café menus will be included.

At Asda's Express Diners, the deal can be used on pizzas instead where shoppers will be able to get a 16 inch pizza for half price.

The deal is not valid on Express Diners' "lunch" items such as paninis and toasties.

Kids under 16 can get a hot meal as well as a piece of fruit for just £1 and for those who don't want a hot meal can get a sandwich, drink and a piece of fruit for the same price.

The supermarket giant sold more than 1.7 million kids meals for £1 as part of the scheme as of June last year.

The Kids for £1 meals peak to around 80,000 a week during school holidays from an average of 40,000 on a normal week.

Kris Comerford, Asda’s Chief Commercial Officer, told The Sun: “Our kids £1 café meal deals continue to provide a lifeline to families.

"Now with the introduction of half price adult main mains in cafés from 3pm onwards, it means we can extend our support to the whole family across the summer holidays.”
