Vanessa Feltz’ ex-finance has broken his silence a year on from his highly-publicised split from the TV personality.

Ben Ofoedu, 51, admitted he “felt used” in his relationship with Feltz, 61, as he launched into a fiery rant about the broadcaster.

Ofoedu accused Feltz of stealing “the best years of my life,” saying: “I met Vanessa when I was 34 and I lived 17 years in her life and it was all what she wanted.

“So now I'm with Precious [Muir] I feel 34 again and like I have got back my life. I have thesame aspirations I had at 34.

“I'm looking forward to a bright future, many more Valentine's Days, living together and children… and these things are incredibly exciting for me.”

Ofoedu met Muir, who appeared in Channel 4’s The Circle, at a showbiz event. He went on to tell MailOnline he feels the movie producer and reality star has given him “my life back”.

He went on to add: “I felt used and like I was a nice adornment to her life.

“Sometimes you have just got to move on. I am really, really happy that my sex life will no longer be all over the papers.”

He confessed he had been “so in love,” but was being “strung along” by the This Morning regular, who said last year she had been left feeling “bruised” by the split.

Last February, reports claimed the couple had broken up and Ofoedu later admitted he had slept with another woman and engaged in inappropriate texts with a different woman.

In response to the claims, a spokesperson for Feltz told the publication she had ended the relationship “because the trust had been repeatedly destroyed”.

They went on to say the agony aunt “feels relieved and liberated to be free of the relationship.”

Meanwhile, Feltz was among the many famous faces to pay tribute to the late DJ Steve Wright, whose death was announced on Tuesday.

Speaking on TalkTV, she stated: “I rated Steve Wright so highly just as everybody else in the country and beyond did as a pure radio genius, you know, an innovative creator, the presenter of a show that sounded nothing like anybody else’s show ever."

She concluded by describing the 69-year-old as: “A man who was at the absolute top of his game for decade after decade."

Vanessa first worked with Wright more than three decades ago and they became close friends while they were colleagues at Radio 2.

Wright's family confirmed his death on Tuesday and faces from the world of entertainment have since expressed their shock and sadness at the unexpected news.
