Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden penned a sweet tribute to her husband Benjamin Jones on Instagram last night as they reached their second wedding anniversary, noting that they've been through a tough year.
Dowden was diagnosed with breast cancer back in April 2023, before being told that the tumours had spread and formed into a different type of cancer, with the star continuously updating her fans on her journey.
Back in February, Dowden announced that she had received the good news that there was no evidence of cancer being present in her body, reiterating that she hadn't been given the all-clear.
The 33-year-old took to her Instagram account recently to pay a sweet tribute to her husband as they celebrate their second wedding anniversary, noting how much support he had given her over the last year.
Alongside a montage of images, she wrote: "Happy 2nd anniversary! I think it’s fair to say we’ve been through quite a bit during married life. But I’m forever grateful for you!
"Thank you for this past year! I know at times it’s been so tough for you to watch but you kept positive, kept the house clean away from infections and tried to keep me as positive as possible.
"I love you even more! Let’s hope for a smoother year ahead! But what I do know is we have each other! More adventures, my crazy last-minute plans, house renovations, dance school fun and basically just us being us! Love you always xxx your Amy xxx."
Some of Dowden's Strictly family took to the comment section to express their love for the couple, with Shirley Ballas commenting: "Happy anniversary to two beautiful souls."
Vito Coppola added: "Happy anniversary guuuuuuuys. Cannot wait to see you!"
"Happy wedding day. Love you both from your bridesmaid. Loves you I do," best friend Dianne Buswell noted before one fan said: "Aww Amy! He must be bursting with pride to say he’s your husband!"
Amy recently was given the good news no evidence of cancer had been detected
Someone else added: "People forget about the incredible person behind the scenes when the worst thing imaginable hits. Happy anniversary, onwards and upwards to you incredible couple."
Another wrote: "Happy Anniversary, here’s to true love & great times ahead for you both."
It was recently announced that Dowden would finally be returning to Strictly Come Dancing after having to take last year off due to ongoing chemotherapy treatment.
Revealing the good news and her excitement, she told her Instagram followers: "I’m so happy and grateful to be back on @bbcstrictly. MY HEART IS SO HAPPY. The best team on and off the dance floor. I can’t wait to be back doing what I love most in the world, dancing!
