Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro has called presidential hopeful Donald Trump "f***ing stupid", a "f***ing moron", and a "malignant narcissist" in a furious rant.
De Niro appeared on Oscars 2024 host Jimmy Kimmel's talk show on Monday to discuss the awards as well as his new film but conversation soon turned to Trump.
Kimmel himself has had social media run-ins with the former President before, even derailing Sunday's live ceremony to issue a savage response to Trump's review of his Oscars performance.
And De Niro has also found himself embroiled in public spats with Trump, 77, before, something Kimmel was keen to point out during their interview.
Kimmel read a few lines from social media posts of Trump's, in which he called De Niro a "low IQ individual" and blasted the 80-year-old's "acting talents" as having "greatly diminished".
When asked if he needed a "teleprompter" to share his thoughts on Trump, De Niro bluntly replied: "He’s so f***ing stupid."

Laughter and applause filled Kimmel's studio before the actor continued: "Look at the lame things that he said.
"He’s so stupid, he can’t even say anything clever. He’s a f***ing moron."
De Niro didn't stop there as he added: "But he’s a scary one and in all seriousness and we know it here, people need to get out and vote and vote and vote and vote."
Applause filled the studio once more before Kimmel asked if De Niro felt Trump "pretended" to be "dumber than he is".
"No. I don't think so," De Niro replied in no uncertain terms before he shared his thoughts on Trump's supporters: "I am totally baffled and dumbfounded by that [support].
"I can't understand it and it's a thing that we've seen over decades and decades," De Niro shared before comparing the former President to televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.
De Niro's criticism kept on coming as he told Kimmel: "It’s all an act in certain way. He's deeply insecure. He is a malignant narcissist. He's a socio-psychopath.
"It's so frightening and scary and he's dangerous. We've got to get rid of him."
De Niro concluded his rant by taking aim at the Republican Party as a whole: "Shame on those Republicans who didn't have the balls to go after him.

"He's an outright f***ing criminal. And they're still buying it!"
The moment from De Niro's talk show appearance earlier this week has since gone viral on social media, sparking quite the debate.
In response to US reporter Mike Sington sharing the clip, De Niro was slammed by one X user who slammed: "Who watches Jimmy Kimmel? No one, that’s who."
"I hope when Trump gets elected he will remember all those backstabbers! I sure will," added a second before a third brutally responded: "Irrelevant old idiot."
However, others applauded De Niro, including one person who argued: "That was one epic roast! De Niro really let loose on Trump, hilarious and spot on. The audience's reaction says it all!" (sic)
