BBC Bargain Hunt, Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip star Philip Serrell, 71, couldn't resist a cheeky joke as he shared some exciting family news over the weekend.
The legendary TV auctioneer has been a familiar presence on-screen for over a decade, offering his expertise to bargain hunters across the country, but he's tended to keep his family life away from the spotlight.
The 71-year-old shares daughter Clementine, 41, with his partner Briony, and it's his child whose upcoming nuptials with her other half have given the Serrell clan cause for celebration.
However, while undoubtedly elated that his daughter is readying to tie the knot with her fiancé Jorgen Deal, Serrell spotted the chance for a joke on Sunday.

The Bargain Hunt star shared a snap of the invitation sent to wedding guests, which has etched on it: "The pleasure of your company is requested at the wedding of Clementine Serrell and Jorgen Deal."
Serrell penned to his 40.1k X followers in the accompanying caption: "I can see this proving costly..."

Inevitably, fans rushed to respond to the heartwarming family news with their congratulatory messages - and a few poking fun at Serrell's financial fears.
"That’s what dads are for," one fan commented alongside a wink emoji, to which Serrell replied: "Thanks Fluff! X."
Elsewhere, a second penned: "Better start saving the pennies Phil and maybe sell lots of antiques!"
"Ooooh congratulations to them both," a third well wisher weighed in before a fourth echoed: "Congratulations to the happy couple."

Meanwhile, a fifth encouraged: "Enjoy every moment, wedding are over so quickly. It will be a great day."
And a sixth concurred: "Aw it’ll be a wonderful day, hope you’ve got the father of the bride speech prepared. I bet @clemserrell will be a beautiful bride and you’ll have tears in your eyes." (sic)
While the Flog It! legend stopped short of sharing when the wedding will take place, Clementine took to social media last year following the proposal to first share the exciting news.
Clementine published a selfie alongside her new fiancé in April 2024, flashing her engagement ring.

"Well I wasn’t expecting that," Clementine shared in the April 2024 post, revealing her other half popped the question in Pembroke, Wales.
News of Clementine's upcoming big day was a rare insight into family life for Serrell, although he has kept fans in the loop with his daughter previously.
Back in 2016, Serrell and his daughter both bravely opened up about her struggles with anorexia and how she overcame the battle.
Showing off her four-year transformation, both Serrell and his daughter share before-and-after snaps comparing 2012 to 2016 to show how far Clementine had come.

Speaking to Mail Online at the time, Serrell, then 62, told the publication: "As a dad, it's been very difficult, I've found it very hard to understand.
"I've spent 62 years enjoying eating and it's very hard not to say, 'Just eat, it's easy.'
"But Clementine has come through this on her own and I know she'd love to help others who are in a similar situation.
"Christmas is a very difficult time of year because people suffering with anorexia get booze and food shoved at them - and that's very hard to deal with."
