Singer Peter Andre has expressed profound shock after viewing footage of his ex-wife Katie Price describing his young children as "irrelevant" in a recently emerged video.
The recording, made public by Price's former partner Alex Reid, captures the television personality making disparaging remarks about Andre's family with his current wife, Doctor Emily.
Sources close to Mr Andre revealed his distress, stating: "He's so shocked that she would do this in front of their young child and saying his young children are irrelevant."
Speaking to The Mirror, they continued: "It's not about the money. How could a mother do that about young children?"

The controversial footage shows Ms Price seated on a sofa near a Christmas tree, handling substantial amounts of cash whilst declaring she was "enjoying counting" the money.
In the recording, she tells viewers "there's loads here... I'm just sorting it out."
During the exchange with her daughter Princess, Ms Price raises her middle finger whilst discussing private school fees, stating: "Your dad can sit on that."

The video captures her questioning whether Mr Andre frequently discusses her financial situation, asking Princess: "Does he go on about it a lot?"
Ms Price acknowledges her bankruptcy status in the recording, mentioning it would continue until May.
The footage, believed to date from late 2020, runs for approximately one minute and 38 seconds.
Ms Price's representatives maintain the cash shown in the video wasn't hers and that bankruptcy trustees were informed about the footage months ago. They assert she has cooperated fully with investigations.
The former glamour model faces substantial financial obligations, having been declared bankrupt twice. Her initial 2019 bankruptcy involved £3.5 million in debts, including £970,639 owed to HMRC.
A second bankruptcy declaration followed in March last year for an additional £761,994.
Among her creditors is Mr Reid, who is owed £175,000 following a High Court ruling over an unauthorised sex tape disclosure.
In the leaked footage, Ms Price admits to "extending" her bankruptcy to prevent Reid from collecting his debt, calling him "an a***hole."

Despite these circumstances, Ms Price recently claimed on her podcast that she had emerged from both bankruptcies.
The tension between Ms Price and Mr Andre extends beyond financial matters to family celebrations.
Ms Price recently disclosed she wasn't invited to Princess's 18th birthday celebration, which was being filmed for a television documentary.

Despite the birthday party controversy, Ms Price described spending quality time with Princess following her daughter's three-week holiday to Mexico and Cyprus.
Ms Price emphasised she doesn't feel compelled to document their time together on social media to prove their relationship.
