The Yorkshire Shepherdess has made a welcome return to social media this month

Amanda Owen's fans have flocked to the comments section of one of the Our Yorkshire Farm star's latest Instagram posts to praise her and her family.

Owen's followers had been met with radio silence for weeks after she announced Ravenseat was shutting its doors to the public back in July but this month the Yorkshire Shepherdess has begun sharing regular updates again.

One of her latest updates from this week shows the mum-of-nine and a few of her young children enjoying time on the farm with their chickens.

The Channel 5 show's leading star posted a slideshow of snaps of her daughters cradling the animals as well as treating them to a popcorn snack.

The photos show Owen's kids refilling the feeders as well as throwing the food in the air for the birds to enjoy.

Owen captioned the series of snaps: "A hen party. Hatching a plan. Popcorn chicken. #chicken #hens #henparty," alongside a number of chicken and food emojis.

While a number of fans rushed to comment on the post and express their delight at seeing Owen active on social media again, others couldn't believe how grown up her younger children looked.

One fan replied to the snaps: "Time stands still for no man, the family have grown so much! Sending happy vibes to you all."

While a second echoed: "They are all growing up so fast, it's so lovely to see them. Thank you for posting their lovely photos xx," followed by a love heart emoji.

Elsewhere, a third pinpointed Owen's daughter Clemmie as looking particularly grown-up as they commented: "Lovely to see your children again - and look how tall Clemmie's got!!"

And another weighed in: "The children are growing up so fast, miss seeing you all and all the animals on tv.

"I have watched every episode of our Yorkshire farm at least 100 times, hope your all doing well xxx." (sic)

Owen's family often joined her on-screen throughout Our Yorkshire Farm's tenure on Channel 5 with the likes of 22-year-old Raven and teenage son Reuben building their own online fanbases as a result.

In fact, a number of Our Yorkshire Farm fans were treated to a peek at the renovations Owen is undertaking at the family's property, Anty Johns.

Owen had purchased the 18th-century property in the Yorkshire Dales with estranged husband Clive last year and, with the help of Reuben, has begun work on the fixer-upper.

With a collapsed roof and the fact the property hasn't been lived in for decades, it's safe to say the Owens will have their hands full restoring the property to its former glory.

Ravenseat Farm remains shut to visitors after Owen issued a statement on her official site back in July, although fans are still in the dark as to exactly why it has been forced to close.

The farm did have to close last year due to the demands of lambing season but this time around, Owen has stayed tight-lipped on the reasons behind the closure.
