Nicki Minaj's performance at Co-op Live in Manchester is in jeopardy after the rapper said she was hit with problems travelling to the city.

In a string of posts on her profile, Minaj said that her luggage has been taken at the airport while travelling from Amsterdam to perform at the gig.

The 41-year-old posted: "They're trying to keep me from MANCHESTER."

In a post on X just before 4pm, Nicki said that she has to go to the "precinct" in order to give a "statement".

However, Minaj was told by an officer on an Instagram live stream that they will try to help her get to tonight's show by getting the process done as quickly as possible before she enters the police van and has the door closed behind her.

Co-op Live has since posted on X saying: "Please note that general admission and premium doors for tonight’s @NickiMinaj show will now open at 19:00."

The previous door opening time was 6.30pm, with Minaj initially expected to take to the stage at 8pm.

Robert van Kapel, a spokesman for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, told NBC News: "We can confirm that we have arrested a 41-year-old American woman at Schiphol Airport because of possession of soft drugs."

The Co-op Live arena in Manchester - the UK's largest indoor entertainment venue - finally opened earlier this month after it was plagued by a series of problems.

Shows featuring The Black Keys, Olivia Rodrigo and Peter Kay were rescheduled following a series of technical issues.

After Manchester, Minaj is due to perform in Birmingham on Sunday, followed by a concert at London's O2 arena on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, she is due to play in Glasgow followed by a gig on Thursday, again at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester.
