Lisa Hogan has hit back at a disgruntled social media user after coming under criticism for her reaction to the death of one of her pigs.
In the midseason finale of Clarkson's Farm season three, Hogan and Jeremy Clarkson decided to have one of their sows, named Baroness, put down.
The pig had become seriously unwell, making her unable to walk or eat properly, and wasn't able to mother her young.
Throughout the first half of the series, fans witnessed firsthand just how much the deaths on the farm affected both Hogan and Clarkson after several piglets hadn't survived the days after their births.
So when it came to Baroness, neither wanted to see her in pain and tearfully gave their vet the go-ahead to let her die without suffering any further.
However, after Hogan shared a new update on Instagram of new pigs on the farm, one social media let rip with their assessment of Baroness' final scenes.

In the clip, Hogan can be seen speaking to the Diddly Squat new arrivals, cheerfully saying: "This little piggy and this little piggy did not go to market. They are here int he woods fattening up to breed. Which is really good news.
"You're sparky, aren't you?" she said to one of the animated animals. "You're sparky and you're shy, and they're absolutely gorgeous and very happy here!"
But despite the exciting addition, the disgruntled user wrote in response: "Letting Baroness die with the vet was heartless though. Lost my wife as a fan with that decision."
When fans rushed to Hogan and Clarkson's defence, the user doubled down, fuming: "Leaving it and not having the courage to be with the animal is the problem. Farm life isn’t easy. Leaving it and walking away is spineless."
The Diddly Squat Farm Shop account, which judging by the comment left appears to be run by Hogan herself, soon snapped back at the criticism.
It penned: "Baroness has a cancerous growth pushing against her lung. Without Amazon paying for an autopsy, we, like most farmers, would never have known."
Hogan and Clarkson were vehemently backed by other Clarkson's Farm fans in the comments, however, including one person who penned: "Thank you for showing the reality of farming.
"The joys and the heartbreak. It means a lot to have such a realistic and honest representation of farming as a whole."
A second added: "Putting an animal out of its misery is always the morally correct choice… no need to have it suffer needlessly.
"I know I’d prefer it if I was in the same situation… but to each his own."

Clarkson didn't publicly respond to the user's harsh comment but judging by a different update earlier this week, he's got his hands full with another problem on the farm.
The former Top Gear star sparked concern for the future of the farm after sharing an aerial shot of the farm ravaged by rain.
Via the Diddly Squat page, the caption alongside the snap read: "It’s going to be a rough year. All that seed sowed, drowned with the constant rain."
Kaleb Cooper similarly showed off the devastation caused by weather with a worrying update of his own.
