Actress Amy Walsh has revealed she's expecting her second child with husband Toby-Alexander Smith through a touching Instagram announcement on Tuesday evening.
The Emmerdale star, recognised for portraying Tracy Robinson on the ITV programme, shared the news via a monochrome video featuring their three-year-old daughter Bonnie-Mae.
In the footage, Walsh can be heard telling her daughter: "Mummy and daddy have got a special secret to tell you." She continues: "Mummy has got a baby in her tummy. A baby sister or brother for you."
The video, accompanied by Nick Drake's Northern Sky, shows the family's hands moving away to unveil an ultrasound image. Walsh captioned the announcement: "Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026."
The social media post quickly garnered attention from fans and fellow actors alike. The 38-year-old actress, who portrays Tracy Metcalfe in the Yorkshire-based soap, chose a creative approach for her pregnancy reveal.
The announcement video featured Walsh asking her daughter "What is it?" when Bonnie enquired about the special secret. The touching moment culminated with the family revealing the scan photograph together.
Mr Smith, 34, who previously portrayed villain Gray Atkins on EastEnders, appears alongside his wife and daughter in the announcement.
The couple's post attracted over 20,000 likes within hours of being shared.

The couple first crossed paths at a Strictly Come Dancing live recording in 2019, where they were seated together in the front row.
Their romance blossomed, and they moved in together just before the pandemic began in 2020.
Walsh and Smith welcomed their first child on 27 December 2021, following a challenging 20-hour labour that began on Boxing Day.
Reflecting on the experience, Walsh told OK! magazine: "I had to have an epidural as the pain was so strong.
