A close look at the betting odds shows the race tightening across the board

The race for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent crown has never been tighter, with new data revealing a razor-thin 1.5 per cent probability margin between the top two favourites.

Despite dominating the betting markets since the start, The Blackouts - known for their popular dance and illusion performances - have been dealt a major blow in the final hours before the grand finale.

Latest odds show Hear Our Voice edging into the lead at 15/8, with The Blackouts now narrowly behind at 2/1.

While The Blackouts had held the favourite position for weeks, the momentum appears to have shifted following the announcement of the finalists on Saturday night.

A closer look at the betting odds shows the race tightening across the board.

Betfred has revealed that following the top two, Harry Moulding is a strong contender at 9/2, while Stacey Leadbeatter trails behind at 8/1.

Olly Pearson and Ping Pong Pang sit at 10/1, with Joseph Charm at 25/1.

Binita Chetry is priced at 28/1, while Vinnie McKee and Jasmine Rice are the current outsiders at 33/1.

This latest setback for The Blackouts comes after a chaotic semi-final, where not everything ran smoothly for the group despite their wealth of experience on television.

To add to the disruption, their performance had to be brought forward at the last minute when eight-year-old magician Teddy Magic unexpectedly withdrew from the show, later quitting the competition entirely.

Speaking recently to Yahoo UK, The Blackouts made it clear that winning the £250,000 prize in the final isn’t their ultimate goal.

Dancer and team manager Elias Schneider explained: "It's not about winning for the money [on Britain's Got Talent]. It would mean the world to us if we could win Britain's Got Talent - performing in front of the Royal Family."

While the group is keeping tight-lipped about their final performance plans, dancer and show creative Raphael Broder teased a few hints, saying: "What you're allowed to know is that it's going to be, as always, bigger, with a lot of storytelling and with a lot of surprises for sure. That's all we can tell by now."

With the margins so small, it’s shaping up to be a thrilling two-horse race.

A standout performance in tonight’s finale could still tip the scales either way, but the pressure is on for The Blackouts to reclaim their lead and secure victory.
