Fresh from his Britain’s Got Talent victory, 24-year-old magician Harry Moulding has revealed his hopes to collaborate with King Charles at this year’s prestigious Royal Variety Performance.
Appearing on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden this morning, Moulding shared his excitement for the future, despite ongoing backlash from some ITV viewers over his win.
Holden, who also serves as a judge on the variety show, teased Moulding about the upcoming Royal Variety gig, which is part of the BGT winner’s prize alongside a £250,000 cash reward.
When asked if the money had landed yet, Moulding joked: “No, I think it will be any day now, I’m sure. I’m sure it will be in there soon.”

ITVTurning the conversation to his plans for the Royal Variety Performance, Holden said: “Every act you did, every audition you did, was quite huge, and then obviously you topped it off on Saturday, skydiving out of a plane.
"What plans have you got for the Royal Variety? Because you’re going to have to be theatre-based, aren’t you?”
Moulding replied: “You know what, I’ve got some amazing ideas that I can’t wait to work on and show everyone what I’ve got in store!
"I mean, the Royal Variety is obviously a dream come true for any performer, it really is. Hopefully the King likes it!”

ITVHolden pushed further, asking: “Well, I was going to say, are you going to involve King Charles? Do you reckon you’ll be allowed?”
Moulding responded: “I don’t know if you know, but he’s a member of the magic circle, the inner magic circle.”
Theakston added: “A bit of extra pressure!”
Moulding agreed before reaching out to the King directly: “Yeah! So, I would love the opportunity to try and collaborate with him during the act and see what we can do. I think he would be up for it!”
The 24-year-old secured his victory during a Grand Final that saw 11 acts competing for the public’s votes.
Thanking his supporters, he said: “I genuinely feel like everyone has been behind me. This has been the most incredible journey.”
The magician's comments come amid a row that has erupted on social media following his win.
Despite praise from the judges, including guest judge KSI, who gave Moulding his Golden Buzzer during the semi-finals, some viewers were left frustrated by the result, claiming it was “fixed”.

ITVOne fan fumed on X: “All planned tricks, not talent,” while another added: “He was so bad. So boring, the exact same as every other magician. Blackouts robbed.”
A third ranted: “The fake magician won! What a waste of time watching BGT. So fixed!”
Others, however, defended Harry’s performance. One supporter wrote: “I’m so pleased for this guy, he is what a great variety act should be and really likeable. Well done, Harry!” (sic)
Regardless of the controversy, Moulding is now focused on the Royal Variety stage, and with a potential assist from King Charles himself, his act is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about moments in the show's history.
