Hairy Bikers fans were left in floods of tears as they tuned in to the last ever Hairy Bikers episode, seeing Dave Myers for the final time before he died.
Myers announced back in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer and died at the end of February – with close friend and co-star Si King announcing the news via a statement on social media.
Myers and King’s adventures concluded tonight leaving fans heartbroken and devastated as they watched their last scenes unfold for the final time.
The cooking duo worked together for decades and formed a close knit friendship which was always showcased through their shows.
During the final scene of the series, the pals demonstrated their fondness of one another as they became emotional and had to hold back their tears.
Unaware it would be their last on-screen moment together, King emotionally stated: “We planned to go west mate and we’ve made it!”

Myers added: “We have, and it’s been tough at times. I have chemotherapy all the time we’ve been filming. It hasn’t been easy… [but] we’ve got there, and it’s just a wonderful feeling.”
He later reflects: “Being here today with you, you know, I long for it,” before King praised his pals resilience and said: “And we’ve done it, and more importantly, he’s done it.
“I’m his mate and I love him like family and a brother. It’s… I’m just lost for words. It’s quite remarkable, what he’s done.”
Concluding their series, Myers beamed: “It’s a dream come true Kingy. Who knows what the future holds? But for the moment, I’m living in the present and it’s pretty fine, I tell you.”

As the episode drew to a close, King noted: “We’ve had a blast – lovey landscapes, friends and great food.”
Viewers of the show were left in tears as the credits rolled, with one emotional fan writing on their social media account: “I can't help but wipe away tears watching the last outing for Dave and Si. Lovely lads who had a wonderful friendship. It's been a privilege to watch them together for so long. Will never forget Dave.”
“God this is sad, because we all know how it ends. It’s breaking my heart,” another added before a third penned: “So sad watching the #hairybikers Go West final episode knowing this is Dave’s last adventure.”
Another added: “Dave wouldn’t have wanted to spend his final moments in any other way. Just wish he could have spent many more years doing what he loved together with Si.”
