The Sussexes flew to a Katy Perry gig in Las Vegas at the weekend

GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes has pulled no punches with his verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's latest public appearance.

While Prince William takes on work duties in Singapore ahead of the Earthshot Prize, the Sussexes were pictured taking in the excitement of a Katy Perry gig in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, the pair have sparked controversy after it was reported they flew via private jet to the Vegas concert from their California home.

While Harry's "miserable" appearance at the gig had some royal fans talking, Eamonn was more concerned with the mode of transport they used given their continual torrent of eco-preaching.

Holding aloft a newspaper during Tuesday's Breakfast, Eamonn said: "Here's a headline in The Sun today.

"It says, 'Eco Harry flies to Katy Perry gig... in oil tycoon's jet'. So they live in California, Katy Perry's in Las Vegas, she's performing there somewhere."

Explaining his stance, Eamonn continued: "And I don't mind! I honestly couldn't care less if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle board a private jet. Couldn't care less.

"It is an amazing way to travel, good luck to them if they can avail with that.

"What I do object to - and I'm sure everyone else objects to - is the hypocrisy associated with this.

"They preach to everyone else about, 'You shouldn't do this', and they act all meek and mild about this or whatever... and yet they do it behind everyone's back!"

Isabel Webster weighed in to suggest the pair had a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude before Eamonn's takedown went on: "Yeah, so they went to concert for a night out - what a night out this would've been!

"So they board for the concert, the jet's owned by an oil tycoon, so they fly to the concert, watch the concert, and then fly in the jet again!"

Isabel then pointed out that the Prince of Wales opted for a more "humble" approach to his travel plans despite heading out to Asia.

"While Prince William flies to Singapore on a commercial flight, very humble of him," Isabel interjected. "Much lower carbon emissions than in a private jet."

Eamonn replied: "But my point is you have to be practical, he's not gonna row a boat to Singapore, you know, he's not gonna cycle!"

"But in days gone by they'd have their own aircraft but he's trying to be a bit more mindful," Isabel pointed out.

Turning his attention back to the Sussexes, Eamonn added: "But the thing is right, you've got to get there! So stop preaching about (the climate) or just walk everywhere.

"It is putrid really, it not do what I do, it's do what I say, and then people are stupid enough to listen to them!"
