Scott Eastwood, son of legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood, 95, has opened up about how his father is coping following the loss of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera.
Sandera passed away in July 2024 at the age of 61 from a heart attack, after more than a decade by Clint’s side. At the time, the actor released a touching statement, saying: “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.”
Now, Scott, 39, has offered an update on how his father is doing. Speaking to People magazine, he said Clint was “doing good” and described him as “a survivor, a trouper.”
Scott acknowledged that his father’s ability to cope with grief comes from his stoic upbringing, shaped by the hardships of the Great Depression and World War II. “He saw a lot of struggle,” Scott explained.

Earlier this year, Scott reflected on the resilience he’s inherited from his father, saying: “It’s in our blood. You don't complain. You don't whine. You just do.”
Scott, who has appeared in several of his father’s films, including Gran Torino, Invictus, Suicide Squad, and Texas Chainsaw, spoke warmly about their bond.
He said: “Anytime I've ever gotten a chance to work with my father it's been a great experience.”
He also expressed his hope for more collaborations, adding that he would love to work with his “inspiration” of a father again.

She and Clint had been together since 2014, after meeting while she was working as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Although they largely kept their relationship private, Christina made her red carpet debut alongside Clint at the 2015 Academy Awards and often accompanied him to other high-profile events.

The pair never married, although Eastwood does have two ex-wives: Maggie Johnson, to whom he was married from 1953 to 1984, and Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014.
In a recent interview, Clint reflected on his own health, saying that at his age, he is in good physical shape and there's no need to worry about his health for a long while.
He said: “There's no reason why a man can't get better with age.
“And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I'm not one of them.”
