Jeremy Vine viewers were left up in arms on Tuesday morning when the Channel 5 presenter and his guests, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and Brian Coleman, shared their thoughts on Donald Trump's trip to Scotland.
The US President is wrapping up his four-day personal visit to Scotland today, in which he's opened a new golf course and sat down with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to put on a united front and maintain the countries' "special relationship".
There have been plenty of talking points from the tour, from Trump's blistering assessment of London's "nasty" mayor, Sadiq Khan, to meetings with Scottish First Minister John Swinney.
But despite the public displays between the two world leaders seeming pleasant and even chummy, Channel 5 panelist Alibhai-Brown wasn't impressed with what she saw.
"It's unbearable even watching him for those 30 seconds, he's pawing this woman who is the wife of the prime minister," she fumed after watching a clip of Trump alongside Starmer and his wife, Victoria.
"He's pawing her. He can't keep his hands off her. He's just an awful man," she fumed, which prompted Vine to try and keep things light-hearted: "I thought you were grimacing at the bagpipes..."
Moments later, Vine cut to a clip of Trump hearing questions about Israel and Gaza, where he publicly disagreed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claims that there is "no starvation" in Gaza. Starmer also chipped in to pile the criticism on Israel.
Reflecting on the bold claims against Israel's leader, Vine said: "It was a big moment that, when Starmer says 'people in Britain are revolted by what's happening in Gaza,' he almost talks across Trump.

"They headed into the ballroom of Trump's golf resort. Starmer took a moment to invite the President to a football match," he went on before turning to his guest: "What about that, Yasmin, something to cheer on, isn't it?"
"Why is it?" she glumly replied, to which Vine answered: "Because it's these two countries getting closer."
An unconvinced Alibhai-Brown replied: "No. America was a colony of this country once upon a time; it's just reversed.
"To watch Starmer being so abjectly obliging to this grotesque man. This grotesque man! Yes, do business, do deals, that's fine, but you don't have to suck up to him."
"He's a felon, he's been convicted of crimes against women, he lies, he's a bankrupt, he's a white supremacist..."

Vine then turned to "huge Trump fan" Coleman, who offered a different perspective, branding the US president "the greatest American president since (Ronald) Reagan and one of the greatest presidents of this century".
"He's trying to revive the American economy, he's already solved two wars; India and Pakistan, (and) Congo and Rwanda," Coleman continued. "You could add in Cambodia and Thailand, so I mean, he's been trying on Ukraine and on Israel.
"He is a great president, and I think he's gonna have a great four years. The trouble is, Yasmin, that you're just a voice of the Left. You can't stand Trump. Why can't you stand him?"
Alibhai-Brown furiously hit back: "Because he's a felon, he's been convicted of crimes against women, because he lies, lies, lies, he's a bankrupt, he's a white supremacist - shall I go on?"

"But is it possible that bad people could run countries well?" Vine asked, to which Alibhai-Brown conceded: "Well, they do get them, but it doesn't mean I have to admire them."
Inevitably, Channel 5 viewers in their droves had plenty to say about the clash, with many taking to X to express their thoughts on Alibhai-Brown's stance.
"She sounds like everyone on the far left who says the same s**t without any facts, it's like a script they all say it," one X user fumed. "It's funny that they brought her on this show; she thinks her voice is important, but really it's to make fun of her, and I love it."
Meanwhile, a second claimed they couldn't watch. "Turned on... seen her on it then turned to diff channel," they said.

"Nice to see the usual race baiters on your show. Can't watch her," a third echoed before a fourth also hit out: "Ffs ask her about anyone who isn’t a communist and she’ll rant all day, stop giving air time ffs."
There were some vocal supporters of Alibhai-Brown's stance, however, including fellow Vine contributor Narinder Kaur, who said on X: "Love Yasmin," followed by a love heart emoji.
A handful of other viewers replied to a clip of the debate on the Jeremy Vine X page with "well done" comments aimed towards the commentator.
However, some felt neither side put forward a compelling argument, taking aim at the show's format. "Both panelists are complete idiots because it generates interest," they argued. (sic)
