Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Jess Impiazzi has exclusively revealed to GB News Members how she would've reacted to seeing Gary Goldsmith enter the famous house.
Goldsmith's inclusion in this year's series has sparked controversy from the get-go, with Women's Aid slamming the decision to hire him while ITV viewers have been irked by his constant royal tale-telling.
But Goldsmith is adamant he's entered the house for the sole reason of proving the public wrong about the current perception of him, stating in his intro he was hoping to "set the record straight".
Impiazzi, whose fellow housemates included Ann Widdecombe, Amanda Barrie, John Barnes and Rachel Johnson, admits she would've been taken aback by seeing the uncle to Kate Middleton if he had walked in during her series.
In an exclusive tell-all for GB News Members, Impiazzi said "I was quite surprised that they would have someone with a close link to the Royal Family going in, and that they would actually do it.
"I was watching last night and I think his explanation to Sharon [Osbourne] was, I mean she didn’t believe him but you know, he was like I have had these things written about me.

"He is very different to what I thought had been written about him before.
"I guess it all depends now on how he conducts himself, whether he is going to dish all the dirt on them, which I think they have had a bit of a hard time with recently anyway...
"Or will he be loyal? I think that is something where time will tell.
"But yeah, I was shocked when I heard he was going in.

"I think the thing is that (his inclusion) is undoubtedly going to bring a lot of attention on to her (his niece) at a time when she probably doesn’t need it.
"But at the same time, he has had an offer and he is obviously getting paid so it is one of them tough ones, isn’t it?
"It is one of them conversations they must have had privately.
"It is going to bring attention but at the same time he is a businessman, does he need the money or is he doing it for other reasons?

"He has every right to go in if he has been asked but that depends on what it is going to cause privately and if that is going to cause issues... we are not going to know that.
"(Him talking about Kate to Ekin-Su) – that raised the bar for him a bit I think, people definitely thought, 'Is he going to go in and (tell all)? But that definitely gave him more respect," Impiazzi said, on behalf of Bet Victor Casino.
Goldsmith's attempts to mend his public perception appear to have stalled, however, as he faces the first eviction of the series.
The Princess of Wales's uncle is going head to head with Lauren Simon on Friday evening to see who'll keep their spot in the house.
