Amy Dowden has been praised and branded inspirational in the past few months as she's candidly shared with fans her battle with breast cancer.
In her latest update, however, Dowden admitted it was "heartbreaking" to see her hair has begun to fall out after a second round of chemotherapy.
Dowden received her latest round of treatment at the hospital last Thursday after the first time around left her in tears.
Taking to Instagram, Dowden recorded strands of hair which have fallen out after she used a comb.
She captioned the clip: "The reality when I gently comb," followed by a heartbroken emoji.
She followed this up with a lengthy message as she thanked fans for their support following the clip.

"Thanks for all the lovely messages," she began. "A little update on cycle 2.
"Wanted to be open and honest with you all from start. So this cycle, I started feeling sick soon as second lot of 'red devil' was going in.
"Got home very tired and started being sick (even with all the anti-sickness) by Friday afternoon the sickness stopped and just waves of nausea.
"Still taking anti-sickness now. Hardly any sleep due to steroids and the insomnia they bring with them.
"Didn't have any last cycle but some lovely mouth ulcer friends this time around.
"But I've managed some walks, lovely homemade soups and smoothies and feeling even better today. The little wins," she signed off.
Dowden then addressed her hair loss specifically in a separate post shared on her social media page.
The professional dancer tackled the topic head-on as she penned: "What I've found harder this time round and the last few days is the hair shedding.
"As much as I prepared myself, waking up every day gently combing my hair with a wide comb and seeing what comes out, it is just heartbreaking personally for me.

"I'm only washing my hair once, max twice, this week, not using any heat on my hair or styling it, so I just don't feel like me."
However, she concluded with a defiant message as she wrote: "So it's time to bring out the wig, I say, and get used to this, and help me feel like me." (sic)
Dowden first discovered she had stage three breast cancer in May and had a mastectomy in June to try and combat the disease.
However, she admitted soon after doctors had found "another type of cancer" after a check-up.
She's currently undergone two rounds of chemotherapy in which she's worn a cold cap which, according to the NHS, can help prevent hair loss by reducing the level of medication that reaches the scalp.
